Redwood National Forest, Northern California

Redwood National Forest, if you have never seen a redwood tree it should be added to your "bucket list". My images although heartfelt simply cannot convey the beauty and size of these giants, a must see!

If you camp I would recommend the Jedediah Smith State Park where you camp under the Redwoods and sometimes you get your hair washed in the Smith River!

A California Fire - Waiting 5 hours on the side of the road

Traveling south on Hwy 101 headed to the Redwood Forest National Park in California we were detoured for 5 hours by one of California's infamous brush fires. Fortunately we parked on Pistol River where the helicopters were gathering their water which made for interesting viewing, 5 hours worth of viewing.

Traveling the Northwest United States

While traveling the Northwest United States, specifically Northern California and Oregon we have seen some beautiful country. In an effort to share our journey with family and friends, stay connected and not post my images directly to FB I have created this blog.

This first group of images were taken at the Siuslaw National Forest in Corvallis, Oregon.

Enjoy,
